Our recommendation would be to fly in late Sunday (15th September) or early Monday (16th September) if you plan on coming to the Monday Welcome Drinks.

Flights are currently very cheap from London, so we advise you to get onto this early.

We strongly recommend hiring a car as taxis are expensive and scarce once you are out in the vines. Hire cars are available from all the major providers at airports. The closest train station is Castillon La Bataille but it's quiet, without a regular taxi service.

Expect to pay 160€ for a taxi from Bordeaux airport to the Chateau. Carpooling with those in your accommodation will be the most efficient way to travel. Having a car will also allow you to explore some of the beautiful surrounding towns, such as Saint-Émilion.

If you are choosing to stay on and celebrate until the 19th, there are similar-priced flights back to London to your inbound options. But if you’re on annual leave and can extend another few days we recommend you enjoy the back end of summer. Currently, there are £26 flights to Barcelona, £30 flights to Mallorca & £26 flights to Nice.

The ideal arrangement is to share a lift to the ceremony with other guests staying in your accommodation then swap the arrangement to get back to your cars in the morning or arrange a pre-booked taxi to take you to the ceremony.
